The second Saturday of the month is the Parish work day. (Sept. thru June) Everyone is invited to help with the maintenance of our buildings -- from changing light bulbs, to painting walls, to yard work. There is opportunity for all, no special skills are needed...just come with willing hands. Sunday School News St. James offers an innovative and exciting Sunday School program, including a Children's Homily each Sunday during the school year. Take a look at the Sunday School Calendar. Adult Forums are held on Sundays @ 9am in the Library Come join us, bring your favorite Bible and suggestions for future topics. All are welcome!! First Tuesday Readers Book Club Next meeting is March 2nd, 2010 in the Library @ 7:30pm. We will discuss My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult. All are welcome!! Please join us!! Outreach News The Annual Pancake Breakfast to benefit the Emergency Relief Food Pantry will be held on Sunday, February 14th from 8:30am - 12:30pm in the Education building. Come and help us feed our neighbors. Cost is $6, under 6 are free. Thanks to all who joined us at St. Marks' Soup Kitchen on Nov. 7th, 2009 as we served 100+. All are invited to serve at the kitchen ANY Saturday morning. All that's needed are willing hands. You're encouraged to try it ... you'll receive much more than you give. Watch for our next journey to St. Marks' on March 20, 2010. Watch for the poster in the parish hall and sign were you're interested in helping. We delivered 173 blankets for the Christmas gift bags distributed at St. Marks kitchen. THANKS FOR YOUR GENEROUS SUPPORT! Winter is here and we will once again collect clothing for a men's shelter in Philadelphia. Remember to think warm...gloves, hats, anything flannel, socks, sweaters and sweatshirts. The collection will continue through April.
