Jonathan Gregory Fairchild passed away unexpectedly at his home in Huntingdon, Valley on March 16. 2019. He was born on March 31, 1962 and is the son of Charles R. Fairchild (Tuckerton, NJ) and the late Emily F. Fairchild.

Born in Doylestown, PA, Jonathan was a life-long resident of the area. Jonathan is survived by his sister Elizabeth F. Miller (Virginia Beach, VA) and brother Stephen A. Fairchild (Lewiston ME) along with his brother-in-law (Russell Miller), sister-in-law (Carol Fairchild), one niece (Katharine Miller) and two nephews Nathan Fairchild (New York, NY) and Christopher Fairchild (Lewistown, ME), as well as two cousins (Pat Lynch and Sara Lynch Risi).

Jonathan graduated from St. Mary’s Hall-Doane Academy (Burlington NJ) in 1980. He received a Bachelor’s of Art Degree in Music from Wesleyan University in 1984.

Jonathan was very proud to be the Organist/Choir Director at Saint James Episcopal Church (Langhorne, PA) for the last 25 years. He was a past organist at Saint Stephen’s Episcopal Church (Beverly, NJ). He successfully ran the Heshe Music Company and published several musical books as well as taught piano students. Besides playing the piano and organ, he could play the clarinet and guitar.

He was an active member of the Philadelphia Music Teachers’ Association; Northern Delaware Valley Chapter, PA Music Teachers’ Association; Bucks County Association of Piano Teachers; Music Teachers’ National Association along with Philadelphia Chapter, American Guild of Organists.

 A funeral service will take place at Saint James Episcopal Church, Langhorne, PA on April 26, 2019 at 1:00. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions in Jonathan’s memory be made to Saint James Episcopal Church 330 S. Bellevue Avenue Langhorne, PA 19047.
